The Arab Literature Prize
Created in 2013 by the Jean-Luc Lagardère Fondation and the Arab World Institute, the Arab Literature Prize is awarded to a writer from an Arab League member state, who has published a work—a novel or a collection of short stories or poems—written in French or translated from Arabic to French, based on the theme of Arab youth. The Prize is worth 10,000 euros.

Every year, a selection committee reviews different works recently published by French and Arab publishers.
A work is then selected by a panel of prominent figures from the world of the media, arts, and culture, as well as specialists from the Arab world.

Honorable Mention : Réda Dalil for his novel Best-Seller, published by Éditions Le Fennec, 2016.

Winner: Mohammed al-Fakharany for his novel La Traversée du K.-O. (‘The Crossing of KO’), published by Éditions du Seuil, 2014.
Honorable Mention: Rosa Yassin Hassan for her novel Les Gardiens de l’air (‘The Guardians of the Air’), published by Éditions Sindbad and Actes Sud, 2014.

Winner: Jabbour Douaihy for his novel Saint Georges regardait ailleurs (‘St George was Looking Elsewhere’), published by Éditions Sindbad and Actes Sud, 2013.
