In 2016, as part of the exhibition ‘Oriental Gardens’, the Society of Friends of the IMA (SAIMA) promoted the work Abstractions guidées by the artist Sliman Ismaili Alaoui, who was awarded the Saima Prize for Contemporary Arab Creation (2016).
In 2015, as part of the exhibition ‘Hip-Hop: From the Bronx to the Arab Streets’, the SAIMA co-funded the production and acquisition of the work My Name Is by the artist Jay One Ramier.
In 2012, as part of the exhibition ‘The Arabian Nights’, the SAIMA co-funded the educational booklet Contes des Mille et Une Nuits (‘The tales in The Thousand and One Nights’), provided by the AWI’s Department for Educational Initiatives.
